Mrs. Dawn Kincs
Good Day! My name is Dawn Kincs and I serve as the Principal of Holy Trinity Catholic School. I am blessed to be a part of Holy Trinity school and parish community! I am passionate about Catholic education and know how important it is to help children become strong in faith, academics, and community! My husband and I have 4 children and 3 dogs and are active members of our church, St. Mary of the Purification, the parish of Sts. Joachim and Anne in Shakopee. We know the value and commitment it takes to provide a Catholic education for your children, as we have for our children (we have 3 graduates and 1 current student of Benilde-St. Margaret's). I have my undergraduate and teaching degree from the University of MN-Duluth, my Master's in Education from the University of Minnesota, post-graduate coursework in School Leadership from St. Mary's University, and a Certificate in Differentiated Instruction from the University of St. Thomas (yes, I love going to school!). Holy Trinity Catholic School is a wonderful school community centered around our Catholic faith. We have dedicated teachers and staff and love that we are true partners with our families to ensure that the children are nurtured and supported as they grow in knowledge, in faith, and in love.
I have been teaching children ages 3-5 at Holy Trinity Preschool since 1999 and have been Director of the program since 2000. I received my education in my hometown of Duluth at UMD in Early Childhood Special Education. I thoroughly enjoy preparing children for Kindergarten as well as introducing them to the amazing world of education! It is such a blessing to teach in the same building where my own children attend school.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating I taught preschool for one year, worked in an ECFE program for one year, then took an extended period of time off to stay home with my 5 children. I have enjoyed being back in the classroom for the past three years as a preschool assistant and am excited to be taking on the role of teacher this year for the 3 year old classroom. I am blessed to have my children attend school here and be able to work in such a family like, faith filled community.
I received my Associate in Arts degree from Inver Hills Community College in 2013. I then received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences from the University of Minnesota in 2016. I have been working at Holy Trinity since 2011 as an Extended Day aide. I am very excited and blessed to now be working in the Preschool classroom as well.
My five siblings and I were fortunate that our parents were able to send us all to Catholic elementary schools and high schools. After graduating from high school, I attended the College of St. Catherine before transferring to and graduating from St. Cloud State University with a BS in Elementary Education. I am licensed to teach kindergarten through sixth grade in all subject areas. While my husband and I raised our three children, I substitute taught. In addition to being a substitute teacher at Holy Trinity School, I taught third grade full time for a year and a half before becoming one of the kindergarten teachers. While teaching I continue to attend classes and to keep updated on what is happening in education. I enjoy the enthusiasm and the excitement that five and six year olds bring into my classroom!
I received my B.A. in Psychology and Education from Hamline University and my Masters in Education from the University of Wisconsin. Since receiving my Masters, I have earned over 30 additional credits in the teaching of reading and writing. Each year I have taught has been a rewarding and joyful experience for me. I thank God for leading me to my teaching career.
I am a graduate of Saint Mary's University. I have spent my career in Catholic education teaching at Saint Joseph in West Saint Paul and Saint Ambrose in Woodbury before coming to Holy Trinity. My teaching experiences have been in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. The greatest rewards are seeing the faith alive in these children and seeing them grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, and thinkers. I am proud to be a teacher and parent in this Holy Trinity community.
I am a graduate of St. Catherine University. I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach several grade levels here at Holy Trinity. I hope my students will experience the four J's as stated by Pope John Paul II: Jesus, Justice, Journey and Joy, as they learn and grow in their faith.
I am a 2002 graduate from the University of Minnesota in Mankato. Before coming to Holy Trinity, I taught for three years as the Technology Coordinator at St. Joseph Catholic School in Waconia, MN. I held the Technology Coordinator and Education Specialist position here at Holy Trinity for several years before becoming a classroom teacher. I am so blessed to still be a part of this wonderful school.
I am delighted to be teaching at Holy Trinity School. It is a clear sign of God's faithfulness in my life to be here sharing my love for learning with my faith in God.I graduated from the U of MN-Minneapolis with an accounting degree. After volunteer work with children, I realized it was more life giving to me to work with children. I decided to become a teacher. I graduated with a Masters of Education degree from the U of MN-Minneapolis.
